Such a shame! As a vegan of a few years, and vegetarian since childhood, I was excited to try this place. They were out of the mac and cheese and… read more cabbage, the two things I wanted off the menu. Instead, we got the lentil soup, pasta and chickpea salad, and kebob with quinoa.

The lentil soup was pretty good. No complaints there. The kebob had some good flavor but could’ve used more sauce, and I think the portion size was small (one skewer). The quinoa was fluffy but under seasoned and unremarkable. The pasta salad was very under seasoned; I can make a much better one here at home.

As for the desserts, the strawberry crunch cake was excellent (6 stars), blueberry pie was okay (3 stars) and peach cobbler inedible (1 star). It was very burnt. When they took it out of the oven looking the way it did, they should not have served it. We dubiously took one bite and tossed it. The blueberry pie was also over cooked and dark brown on top, but at least the inner pie was edible.

While I feel bad judging a small business so harshly, I also think that small businesses have greater control over their recipes and what they serve, and there should’ve been more care in cooking this food when it was a $50+ order.
