The lentil soup was pretty good. No complaints there. The kebob had some good flavor but could’ve used more sauce, and I think the portion size was small (one skewer). The quinoa was fluffy but under seasoned and unremarkable. The pasta salad was very under seasoned; I can make a much better one here at home.

As for the desserts, the strawberry crunch cake was excellent (6 stars), blueberry pie was okay (3 stars) and peach cobbler inedible (1 star). It was very burnt. When they took it out of the oven looking the way it did, they should not have served it. We dubiously took one bite and tossed it. The blueberry pie was also over cooked and dark brown on top, but at least the inner pie was edible.

While I feel bad judging a small business so harshly, I also think that small businesses have greater control over their recipes and what they serve, and there should’ve been more care in cooking this food when it was a $50+ order.

I have never… read more been a lover of vegan food but now see what I have been missing…interesting unique surprisingly succulent dishes such as mashed potatoes with quinoa burgers and gravy, spaghetti alla boscaiola and the recent addition of a pineapple and vegetable sandwich. Fast food chain restaurants abound in our city but this family-owned establishment is akin to a Beethoven symphony among ordinary ditties. My hope is that our community will support this nascent business enough to allow it not just to survive but thrive….to continue adding a even more exciting array of selections to their menu.
